SAP FIori - Unable to Start APP

Hi People,

 

We have implemented SAP Fiori MRP apps in our ECC EHP7 system. We are trying to implement only Manage Material Shortage Apps. We have an embedded GW in the server. ECC EHP7 SP05 and UIEAPP 100 SP03. We have performed all the configuration tasks as per the SAP help links. When we click on the tile in the Fiori launchpad, We get an error called as Failure : Unable to open App.

 

On Monitoring the Browser console we get the following error.

My benefits -fiori app - Failure - Unable to start App

Hi ,

 

I am getting pop up

 

Failure - Unable to start App

 

when i click on my benefits fiori apps.

 

Following checked as per troubleshooting snote-

 

The odata service is returning data - gateclient - status code 200 ok .

Sicf service is active.

model cache_cleanup already run.

 

I am getting the following error in browser console

Agentry - Check for Complex Table Delta Update every User Login

Hi Experts,

 

For Complex Table Update, we can only see three options in the Editor (Every user Transmission, Once per Day, Once per Week). Is there an option or a workaround to check for Complex Table update every time the user logs in to the device?

My Leave Request - Failure Error

Hi,

I am trying to set up leave request and using all standard catalog and fiori. I have activated all services and double checked but it is giving below error when I click on Tiles.

 

Failure - Unable to start App

I don't see any error in /IWFND/ERROR_LOG but collected few error log from Crome browser using F12.

Hi,

 

I try to implement My Benefits app.

And there is one feature. When I open it in En language the View Summary Button works.

But, when i try to open it in Russian Language I see an error.

UI Theme Designer available only in Read only Mode

Dear Experts,

 

What are the roles required for ui theme designer.

I have created a fiori admin role but whenever i launch the theme designer i am not able to make a copy of available themes.

It appears to be in read only mode itself.

 

Can anyone point out what i am missing

New Version of WPF client in SMP 3.0 ?

Hi All,

 

I am working with SMP 3.0 and Service Manager 4.1 application . When I have installed SMP 3.0 the AgentryToolKit was installed also .

 

In that the WPF client available is Agentry_7.0.3.711_ClientDotNET.exe..

 

Is there any new release of WPF client also which is compatible with my requirement?

Filling field in CATS_EXT from Fiori

Hello Dear Friends!

 

I am stuck with serious problem. When we submit timesheet via Fiori in ERP system fills the following files in structure CATS_EXT:

CPR_GUID Project GUID

CPR_EXTID External Project ID

CPR_OBJGUID Object ID

CPR_OBJGEXTID External ID of Project Subobject

 

This is serious problem because if these fields are not empty user can't  make changes.

Do you know how to make Fiori does not pass this data to the ERP? I guess it should be done in ERP package P_SRA002. But I don't get how...

Hi, I have a question on SMP3 and AppDevelopment (Agentry):

 

I am using the SAPWM-6.1.0.0.zip(SAPWorkMgr610Deployment.exe) in my agentry application. As per client requirement i want to modify some fields and want to add some extra field into my application.

 

Can any one guide me how to modify and customize the agentry application on SMP 3.0.

 

For More clarification : I am using Agentry 7.0, SMP 3.0 and Work Manager 6.1

SAP Fiori Hub Configuration Servers Best Practices

Hi expert,

 

We have a question regarding the SAP “best practices” regarding the servers’ architecture strategy before going live with a SAP Fiori project.

 

We have a “hub” configuration, with separate backend and frontend server.

 

As usual, our landscape has Development, Quality, and Production systems.

 

Questions:

 

1. For instance, let’s introduce this first case: we implement and test the Fiori Apps with the Development system as a backend, connected to the new “Fiori” frontend server. Everything goes fine, and we decide to for the Production system. Should the frontend server be “reused” when moving to Production (changing the pointed system), or should we create a new frontend with the same configuration of the Dev. one?

 

2. In case we actually need this SECOND frontend “Fiori” server, which is the best way to get it: installing and setting up everything exactly in the same way it was done in the Dev. System from “zero”? Or can we just create an exact copy of the VM which contains the first Frontend server and change where it points to? Or is there any other recommended strategy for GOING LIVE with FIORI?

 

 

Any advice, hint, or comment regarding these possibilities would be really appreciated.

Navigation Button Missing

Hi All,

 

We have created a Mobile App using SAP Fiori to render information from SAP.

 

Once the mobile app is triggered we have mapped to the Empty View.

 

Issue here is we are not getting any Navigation Button (Screen Shot attached) to go to Master View.

 

Kindly let us know if we are missing some links.

How to uninstall Afaria Samsung MMEP

We have a BYOD policy in place but once a user decides to leave the the company he can uninstall the Afaria client but cannot remove the Afaria Samsung MMEP application from his own device.

Is there any way to successfully uninstall this application from the mobile device?

Syclo + SMP 3.0 - benefits for customers?

Hello everyone!

 

As far as I understood Syclo has it's strength in fields and assets management, for blue collar workers, which normally use devices which are rugged devices - which are normally windows mobile/CE devices or like bar code scanners - and not that iPhone/iPad-type apps.

 

It has four apps SAP Work Manager, SAP Inventory Manager, SAP Rounds Manager and SAP Service Manager:

But you can also develop you own app.

 

And those apps are all running in the native "Syclo Agentry" app - because when I look for the SAP Workmanager App in Apple app store - I don't see this app. When I look at the supported devices for each of those apps, the SAP Syclo Rounds Manager or Inventory Manager only support windows devices? Why?

But since Syclo is integrated in SMP 2.3 and now in SMP 3.0 - it seems rather expensive to licence the whole platform just to get an Agentry Server. And you need a whole SMP 3.0 for every Syclo app.

 

How long will you get Syclo Agentry without SMP?

 

What are the real benefits for new/existing customers?

As I've seen in the SMP Roadmap, it is planned to use OData instead of Syclo Smart data model, HTTP Rest transport protocol and Backend Integration via OData. Is this really the case?

 

Syclo apps don't look like "modern/cool" apps, but maybe with the Open UI this would be possible?

 

So to sum it up:

SMP 3.0 with its OData and SAPUI5 app builder is for modern phones/desktops.

Syclo will continue to support ruggedized devices, is for B2E only.

Fiori Application Copy - Launchpad Error?

I realize this is an odd question -but I really need help getting this resolved.  I am trying to conduct training and need to copy a standard Fiori application into a Z application that can be launched from the Fiori launchpad.

 

I used the ABAP team provider in Eclipse to pull in HCM_TS_APV and pushed it back to ECC into a Z BSP.  Then, I followed these instructions to create a tile for a custom UI5 application:

Now, after all of these steps I am getting this error when trying to launch the application from the Fiori Launchpad:

Android application using SAP JCO to connect to CRM system

I'm in the mid of developing an android application, which is to connect to SAP CRM system to fetch some data.  I'm using JCO for the same.  When I run it as standalone java application (i.e. not in android platform) I can successfully fetch data.  But when I run the same as android application, I get the following error in log cat:

 

Caused by: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCo initialization failed with java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Couldn't load sapjco3 from loader dalvik.system.PathClassLoader[DexPathList[[zip file "/data/app/com.example.firstapp-1.apk"],nativeLibraryDirectories=[/data/app-lib/com.example.firstapp-1, /system/lib]]]: findLibrary returned null

 

I have added the jco library in libs folder of my android project and tried several variations.  The error persists.

 

Can someone please help ?

Open Enrollment functionality in SAP Fiori apps

Hi

 

Can any one provide the clarity, is SAP Fiori flavor has Open Enrollment functionality or not?

 

 

Presently we are running the  open enrollment functionality in SAP java webdynpro. We are planning to move to ABAP webdynpro for Open enrollment. But looks like SAP Fiori has the good usability, so we are thinking to implement the whole SAP ESS functionality in SAP Fiori itself. But our main functionality is rely on Open enrollment. So can any one provide the the clarity is current Benefits functionality in SAP Fiori provides the Open enrollment or not. If not what is the SAP future plan on the Open enrollment in SAP Fiori? Like is going to release as future release in next year.

 

When i look at the Fiori Benefits scope documentation. Its not given that, it has the Open enrollment functionality.

 

  • Display the benefit plans in which you are enrolled by plan categories
  • Display eligible benefit plans for which you have not yet enrolled
  • Display plan details of a selected benefit plan, for example, your coverage, pre-tax cost, and so on
  • View the benefit overview or detailed information for any given date
  • Access links to benefit plan documents to find information on the definition of benefit plans
  • Open the Benefits Summary statement as a PDF that can be downloaded locally

 

I have another question related to enabling same Fiori functionality across all types of devices( like Desktop, ipad, iPhone) . what is the extra effort on the development and infrastructure wise.

 

Please clarify it.

SAP Fiori - Leave Request Approval

Dear Experts,

 

I have activated all the required services (OData, UI5) for Approve Leave Request Application and i am also able to view it on the Fiori Launch Page.

I have been following the App implementation guide from the below link

But this link doesnt mention anything on where to bind the Workflow ID.

 

Where do we have to workflow id so that managers can view their employees leave request.

Without doing this it gives  a HTTP error when i try to navigate forward from the launch page tile.
