Hi

We are attempting to configure an alert in Afaria to notify an MDM administrator that a new device has enrolled and need approval.

To do this we are using the defined alert "Unapproved Client attempted session", similar to what is described in this discussion http://scn.sap.com/thread/3627698

This alert appears to trigger for Android devices but not for iOS devices.

Any idea why this is and how to trigger across all device types?

P.S. We are on Afaria 7 SP5 Hotfix7

I am stacked in a problem and hope soemone can help me out. Basically, I just want to create a Cordova project (and add Kapsel plugins later) and load it into Eclipse (Kepler)+ADT, and run it on AVD or HTC devices

Here are my settings of tools:

  IDE: Eclipse (Kepler SR2) +ADT (23.0.4.1468518)

  Android SDK  (upto anroid 5.0.1)

  Cordova (4.4.2)

  jdk1.8.0_31

  SMP server: SMP3.0_SP05

  SMP SDK (Kapsel SDK): 3.0_SP06_PL02

Here are the commands used to create a cordova project:

  cordova create appFolder com.myapp.id myapp

  cordova plateform add android

  cordova build android     //this is optional, tried in same cases

  cordova prepare andriod

Here is the problem:

(Note that for now I have not reach the step to add Kapsel plugin yet. ) After these, I load the generated project into the Kepler eclipse, its precompipling shows this error:

Can anyone please tell what might go wrong here? Seems cordova lib is missing but why? Some version mismatch?

I'm looking into the configuration of access control for email.

What i haven't understand is if a user is still able to install a third-party email app on his MDM device like Outlook for iOS and synchronize company account with it.

Is Afaria/Exchange capable of seeing the difference between this requests?

Is there an incorrect configuration in the "SAP_CUSTOMER_SERVICE_21" application configuration in the APPLICATION_CONFIG global for the "Wo.AssignmentType"?  Here is why I am thinking this.

I've installed the base Work Manager 6.2 with Customer Service.  I create the application in the cockpit and publish it in.  I even stopped/started the SMP services to make sure it was "clean".

When I try to connect the client the first time, I get this error in the transmit window:

Invalid Wo.AssignmentType from the ini file or SAP mobile configuration. Please check the ini file or the mobile configuration for assignment type () in section APPLICATION_CONFIG

In the Config Panel, I looked at the global configuration for "Wo.AssignmentType" and the "DO_ID" is set to "SCS21_SERVICEORDER_GENERIC".  I then compared this to the previous "SAP_CUSTOMER_SERVICE_20" application's value for this and for that version the "DO_ID" is set to "SCS20_WORKORDER_GENERIC".

I suspect that the 21 version should be "SCS21_WORKORDER_GENERIC"

I believe this is in error in the application configuration panel as delivered by the base package.

If an expert would confirm this is incorrect, and if so, SAP could/should then correct this in an update patch.

I am trying to use a file system read step to load my objects in Agentry.  What format does the text file need to be in for Agentry to load the objects?  Also, is the path setting relative to a path in the SMP 3.0 Server folder or can it be anywhere?  I don't see any documentation on this.  Thanks in advance!

I got a connection to the backend error, I am not sure if this is caused by system number & client number entry mistake in JavaBE.ini ?

Hi guys, I´m working with SAP Sales Manager 2.5, the application is the standard and we´re facing a problem with BAPI Wrapper that is missing :

This error shows immediately when any user log in to the application, due to the error I search for the BAPI  /SYCLO/CRMMD_CTDUEINDICATR_GET and I found it in the system, but I can´t find his definition in the bapi wrapper console

as I said, the instalation is clean, 100% the standard, any help will be appreciated.

In Work Manager 6.1 I have a complex table search for equipments used when creating a notification. In Agentry you can select the "Search Dialog Fields" and double clicking apparently you can define the label and the number of characters.

But then in the Android device the columns with seems almost random as you can see in the picture below. For instance the description is really short even it is defined as 40 chars. I'm using the latest Agentry client 70.6.2.48. Is there a way to control the column width? And other aspects like font size and so on? The users are not able to see the hidden description text in any way now.

I am working with SAP Work Manager 6.2 application. When I download the application for the first time the app get downloaded and saying that no work orders to download.

After that, I have assigned my pernr to a work center and created work orders using the work center.

I have reset the application and trying to download the app, but it is taking more time to download and I could not able to complete the sync.

Sometimes I am getting communication error.

We are connecting to the server using mobile VPN software from device iPad.

Could anyone please share the thoughts.

I am working on Work Manger 5.3 Application.There is tab to add standalone Notifications and related items from Device(iPad).In the Notification Item add screen, there are three fields damage,part and cause.These three field type are Complex table drop down(damage-code group,part-catalog profile,cause-catalog profile complex tables are mapped).Now if i select a value from damage field, that value should be defaulted in to part and cause fields as well .That means the cause and part group will contain the values selected in the damage field.But the user should also be given an option to change the values in part and cause field.If they want to edit the defaulted values in cause and part,drop down should be available to them.

I have tried with update rules for the fields but no luck.Please clarify can this be achieved. The Agentry Client version is 6.0.50.1.

i'm testing with windows mobile devices but i do not quite understand some settings.

- I can define a Channel in the Enrollment. Is this channel applied only once when device enrolled or is it applied every time the schedule synchronize the device to server.

I would like to built a first run configuration where set time, registry keys.

- How are the policy applied. I have built one with custom xml to uninstall an application. I've done couple of test but i could only run this policy once.

Are the policy working in the same way like on wp or ios where it's only applied once and when settings are changed.

In order to update to update my application i need to uninstall it before because otherwise the application is installed twice. Is there maybe a convenient way to set up this update process.

- I tried to use the option "Auto-sync when cradled – set whether to perform active sync when the device is cradled"

When i sync device when it cradled i get the message the the communication to server is disturbed. When i take it off the cradle afaria start synchronization.

- I'm trying to set some registry keys but they are not set. When i use RegEditor i have to unlock the registry. Do i need to unlock it some way before i set registry via afaria?

I am trying to establish an OData connection in the Agentry Editor for the service which has been exposed via Integration Gateway but seems its not working.

I am able to access same URI in a browser with same credentials.

Both SMP 3.0.5 server and Eclipse are on the same machine. There is no firewall involved.

I am able to see a success message if i try with publicly available service, https://sapes1.sapdevcenter.com/sap/opu/odata/IWFND/RMTSAMPLEFLIGHT/

What could be the reason? Any clues?

I have a problem with the SAP Fiori Launchpad the header is visible at the moment that i enter the launchpad.

Once i open the application on a mobile device the header disappears (i know its normal).

But the client wants the shell bar to remain on the page also for mobile devices.

With shell bar i mean the following:

After some investigation i've found that the class that makes it disappearing is - sapUiUfdShellHeadVisible.

Is anyone else experiencing a similar issues with the latest launchpad release?

All tiles are working one day, and then a day later they were not.  A message would appear suggesting that the app configuration was incorrect.

The Web Inspector in chorme was pointing to an issue with /INTEROP service, which was unable to resolve the application link

My investigation revealed the following:

Several dumps were being registered in  ST22.

ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT - /UI2/CL_LPD_UTILS=============CP

After spending some time debugging this class, it turns out that the ABAP may be incorrect... pointing to a  type conflict a method that determines if LPD_CUST settings have changed. (I.e. The transaction in SAP GUI where we register new apps).  Basically if we keep changing the settings every day it will be fine. Once the settings are over a day old, the class will reach the point in the code that throws the illegal conflict.

Chapter 3.4 of the document "SAP® EAM and service mobile app SDK Installation Guide" version 1.0  indicates to copy the following 5 DLLs to the folder where the Agentry client is installed. Where can we find those DLLs?

- DVLNodeMetaControl.dll

- DVLSceneTreeControl.dll

- DVLSettingsControl.dll

- DVLStepNameControl.dll

- DVLStepsControl.dll

I could not find them in SAP3DVisualEnterpriseApplicationsSDKv2_1.zip
