WPF client showing improper screen - Agentry_7.0.3.711_ClientDotNET.exe

Hi All,

 

I am working on SMP 3.0 SP04 and Service Manager application 4.1 . We are running our application in Windows 8 tablet and the screen in the tablet does not show the application screen clearly.

 

The tablet configuration.

if anyone has worked on a similar tablet configuration, please share which WPF client is compatible and will show the proper screen.

 

Also please note that we recently moved from SP03 to SP04 but the WPF is still from the Agentry tool kit of SP03.

 

Can this be the issue and do I need to update the Agentry tool kit too?

WorkManager 6.2 Timezone Support

Hello, We have WM6.2 running on SMP 3.0.

 

When I try to confirm time against an order I get the the message shown below that the actual date is in the future.

Our servers are in Malaysia, and I am testing from Australia, so I am 3 hours ahead of the server.

(I am using the Windows WPF client to test.)

 

In the SMP, I have made the following entry for the App that I am connecting to (I have restarted SMP), but no change:

(UTC+10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney=AUS Eastern Standard Time

I understand the timezone aliases needs to be maintained as key=value, where key is the timezone name of client, but I am clearly getting it wrong.

What should the correct format be?

Agentry Java Code Debugging

Hi All,

 

 

I am trying to debug my Agentry Java Code using Eclipse.

 

 

Agentry.ini

 

nonStandardJavaOptions=-Xdebug -

Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=7090,server=y,suspend=n

 

 

Eclipse - Run - Debug Configurations

 

Host - localhost

Port - 7090

 

 

Start SAP Mobile Platform Server Properties

 

C:\SMP\Server\go-service.bat -debug 7090

 

 

I am using local SMP Server. I tried restarting SMP Server and Eclipse. Also i tried with port 8000. But I am getting this error.

 

 

"Failed to connect to remote VM. Connection refused.

Connection refused: connect".

 

 

 

Please do help in resolving this issue.

I am trying to extend the standard SAP Work Manager log in screen with a custom screen using OpenUI for android devices.I have the android development environment set-up.

I have created a screen which will call my custom class and I know I have place this custom class inside AgentryAndroidClientResources.

.

Now my question is how do i proceed from here.

Work Manager: ERP performance with standard app exchange tables?

Hi Folks - We use Agentry/Work Manager applications and have a question regarding the SAP standard applications and exchange tables. 


Background:

We started with Work Manager 5.3 and updated to 6.1.  Each version provides an SAP standard WM application with all exchange tables set to active.  We do not use the standard apps.  We make copies of the standard app and customize to our needs (activating only the exchange tables that are needed).  For both the 5.3 and 6.1 go-live we had performance issues in ERP.  The root cause was that many different SAP transactions create records in the exchange tables, even for functionality that is not relevant for our custom mobile apps.  This seems to be happening because the SAP standard app has all exchange tables activated.

 

Question:

So far our solution has been to turn off the exchange tables in the SAP standard app.

Is this the best way to handle the situation we are seeing?  Has anyone else seen this issue and found a better solution?

Unable to import Agentry application (AGP/AGPZ) format to Eclipse

Hi,

 

I am using Eclipse version eclipse-SDK-4.2.2-win32-x86_64.

 

I am unable to import the agentry application of type AGP/AGPZ into Eclipse to customize the app.

 

Please suggest to get the app in eclipse or correct me if there is a version of eclipse to use for the same.

Kapsel Push Plugin Registration Issue

Dear All,

 

We are building a mobile application (using HTML5, JS). The application makse use of Push plugin of Kapsel. All the settings mentioned in the http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-49529 are followed and the push notification works when the user is on index.html page (registration is done on index.html page). We however, have many pages in our application. When the user is on any other page (other than index.html), he does not receive any notification. This behavior is seen across multiple mobile devices which we tested.

 

My question is does the push notification work only on index.html ? How to ensure that the user receives notification even when he is on any page of the application?

Registering Push notification on each page does not look a good coding standard.

Filter Complex Table from Java During Sync

We are currently looking for a way to pass the SDML <<user.deviceID>> as a filter to a complex table during sync.

Is there a way to pass this value in Java as a parameter of the BAPI_WRAPPER?

Please advise on the approach to achieve this.

Prevent iOS updates

Hi

 

I have a question about iOS OTA system upgrades for MDM mangaged devices.

Is it possible to prevent iOS system upgrades or even hide the '1' notification in the device settings screen before upgrades are 'approved' by the company (see attached screenshot)?

 

And can you tell me if and how the same requirement could be achieved with Afaria for Android devices?

Complex table search dialog field value not shown completely

Hello experts,

 

I am using SAP Work Manager 6.0.

 

I have a complex table drop down on equipment in Notification Add screen.

 

I want to display the entire value of description in complex table drop down but the value is truncated even if I increase the field length in complex table.

 

The length of description is 40 in the application. I changed it to 80. Still the value of description is not shown completely  .

 

Please find the below screenshot for the issue.

 

Example :

If my equipment description is "TEST Equipment BOM" it is shown as "TEST Equipment...".

Already logged in elsewhere

Hi all,

 

Sometimes my Agentry Client crashes, which is very unfortunate. (I'm working with SAP Work Manager 6.0 WPF client).

When I try to log in again, I get the message 'Already logged in elsewhere'.

 

I can restart my local server to log all users out, but this is not desired when working in a production environment.

How can I remotely log out users without having to restart the server?

Work Manager 6.1: Enabling SSO requires backend password?

Hi,

 

Following the installation guide I enabled Work Manager 6.1 SSO authentication using Enterprise Portal. It works but I have 2 issues, the first one is the more relevant:

 

  • Work Manager users can't log in if they don't have a password in SAP Backend. This password is not really used, because they are getting the SSO ticket from the portal using their AD password. But during the login process, a BAPI call is executed to check if the user has a password in SAP. Is there an option to disable this? In our production environment users don't have password in the ERP.

 

  • Service Users are also using SSO. In my opinion, Service and Push users should exist only in SAP Backend, but not in AD or Portal... But once SSO is enabled, when the Agentry server starts, the Service users are also trying to get a SSO ticket from EP. The work around is simple, just create the users in the portal too, but I would like to know if it's possible to use directly the SAP password for these users instead of SSO.

SSO with SAP Work Manager 6.0

Dear SCN,

 

I have been browsing SCN for any posts regarding SSO and Work Manager 6.0, but could not find any solution or answer specifically related to the following issue.

 

In principle SSO works in the existing SAP landscape, in that users can logon to ERP using SSO via the SAP Portal, even when their ERP password has expired (USR02-PWDSTATE = 2).

 

We have developed a custom Agentry app (although we found the same applies to standard SAP WM 6.0) on SMP 2.3 with SSO authentication against a SAP Portal (as maintained in the JavaBE.ini file).

 

However, using SAP WM 6.0 or the custom Agentry app, when the ERP password has expired they are prompted to change their ERP password.

1. In our environment users are never logging on to ERP directly, if at all, they always logon via the SAP Portal, hence they should not be prompted to change their ERP password via the Agentry client.

2. If they do get prompted to change their password, it should be their SAP Portal password, not their ERP password.

 

I tried applying SAP note 2043172 (SSO login fails at login check), but this note either does not apply to this specific scenario, or does not apply to SAP WM 6.0 on SMP 2.3.

 

How does one configure SSO with Agentry apps that prevents the users being prompted to change their ERP password when using SSO against the SAP Portal?

Invalid control type for list tile error

Hi,

 

I have tried to replace the default add confirmation button screen and map to the confirmations items list screen. The requirement is to list the confirmations items list in the confirmation screen in SAPCRMSM. But when ever I make a change in the add confirmation button, the button is disabled. So I revert the changes and tried to populate the items list in the confirmation screen using a list tile view. But I am getting Invalid control type for list tile error. I don't know where I made a mistake. Please help me to resolve the issue.

Afaria Trial. Some questions.

Hi folks,

 

Today I start to use Afaria trial (cloud service), so I haven't enough knowledges about the product.

 

And I have several questions:

 

1) I try to create enrollment policies, but cann't do this, because on portal I see only two policies types - application, configuration.

 

I see default enrollment policies, but cann't create additional

 

What could be the main cause of it?

 

2) How to sync users from on-prem ad to cloud Afaria (I've seen that for on-prem Afaria It could be done by LDAP configuration, but cann't find how to do this for cloud service)

 

3) Is there any official guide about how to work with cloud affaria ?

 

4) My company is official partner of SAP, so do we have any benefits for using afaria? I mean partner cloud subscribtion to Afaria (not trial) or on-prem Afaria software ?

How to integrate 3D visual viewer with agentry android client

Dear experts,

 

I am working on SAP Work Manager 6.2,  integrating 3D visual viewer with agentry android client.


     - 3D Visualization is working with my WPF client

     - 3D Visualization is failing with my Android client (see below)

     - GIS is working on the same Android client.

 

SAP® EAM and service mobile app SDK Installation Guide" version 1.0  indicates in step 5 to "Add Visual Enterprise libraries to the MobileAppsVELibrary project".  Could you confirm that this step is equivalent to copy contents of "DVL/Android/libs/" to libs folder of the MobileAppsVELibrary project? Is there other DLLs to copy in this step?



3D Visualization on Android problem description:

Code Levels:

Eclipse => Luna 4.4.0 + ADT 23.0.4

Agentry SDK => SMPAgentryClientFramework-Android-70.5.1.10.zip

Mobile Apps Open UI SDK 1.0 => 51048778_5.zip

SAP 3D SDK => SAP3DVisualEnterpriseApplicationsSDKv2_1.zip

 

PB description:

 

If I display VDS attachment, the screen is blank.

( If I display the 2nd attachment (image/jpeg), the image is displayed successfully on the Android device )

( If I click on the Locations link , the map is displayed successfully )

 

I do not see an error the the android log.

 

I am also getting some encrypted information on the Android client when I double click the blank screen and hit left/right arrows

Failed to execute query - SAP Work Manager 6.2 ESRI GIS

Hi;

 

I am working on implementing the standard SAP Work Manager 6.2 implementation. I'm using SMP 3.0 SP05. I have maintained the config panel Geospatial Service Info, which points to an ESRI server that is within the LAN environment and I have defined the port as 80. I have also gone to customise the Client globals for the PREF_BASEMAP_URL_GREY/SATELITTE/STREET/TOPO to point to the local ESRI server and this seems to be working fine, I can see the base map on the device under the locations tab, BUT, with no points plotted, even though I have maintained the /SMFND/OID01_GS table. I have maintaned this table as follows :

The SPATIAL_OBJECTID I got from the ESRI guys together with the base map URL.

 

1. When I sync from the device and debug the /SYCLO/IF_CORE_DO_HANDLER~GET method in the /SMFND/CL_GIS_OBJ_GEODATA_DO class, I notice that  ls_mdo_input_vals-it_objkey_list structure contains only the OBTYP and OBJKEY and does not include the SPATIAL_OBJECTID and LOGSYS even though this is maintained in the mapping table.

2. I go on to maintain the LOGSYS and SPATIAL_OBJECTID values during debug and I get a Response code of 200 with the Response "Failed to Execute Query". When I execute the query that I have defined on the Geospatial Service Definition, on a browser, I get a form, on this form I maintain the OBJECTID and click on the POST button and get a response with coordinates, this doesn't seem to be the same behaviour when the request is coming from ABAP, what could be wrong here?

3. The  ls_mdo_input_vals-it_query_param structure is empty when I debug, is this meant to be behaving this way, or I need to maintain query parameters in the config panel?
